| Notes |
- There is no evidence yet to connect Jodocus Behra to Claus Bera ortoJoannes Behra. All lived in Ermensbach/Rimbach, and Claus had asonnamed Marx as did Jodocus, while Joannes had sons named JodocusandNicolaus. These facts alone don't provide enough information todeterminethe relationship. The assigning of these nine children toJodocus Behraand his first two wives is, in some cases, arbitrary; thereare baptismrecords for Martha (in Sewen) and Joannes (in Masevaux); theSewenmarriage record for Marcus Bero and Susanna Wildin calls him"Jodocifilius ex Armspach"; the marriage records of both Georgius andAgathadescribe them as children of Jodocus senior of Armspach; thewitnesses atthe marriage of Marx Bera to Clara Clauserin in 1638 wereJerg Bera andJos Bera; since the Jodocus Bero who married Anna Gasserinin 1624 wasson of Joannes, I have place the other Jodocus, who marriedBarbaraLustringerin in 1593, in this family; since Barbara Lustringer wasfromLauw, the other early Beras with connections to Lauw have alsobeenplaced in this family: Henricus Bera was described at the time ofhismarriage to Christina Dietricherin as being from Lauw, as were SimonBeraat the time of his marriage to Ursula Langin and Fridericus Bera atthetime of his marriage to Magdalena Grepsserin?; see BERGHA 60:1176formention of Joss Bera of Ermensbach as a creditor in 1617 of the lateHansFlieher of Lauw.
