    • BIRTH: Transcribed from the records of St. Agatha Church, St.Agatha,Ontario - pg 25, book 2 of records. Augustine Studer: born 15 Nov1848,baptized 16 Nov 1848 by Fr. Ebner, S.J. Parents: Amanuds StuderandFrancesca Bollinger. Sponsors: Ignatius Dietrich and MargaretDietrich.August was, at some point in time a merchant, operating astore/postoffice in the town of Sexton, Iowa. He also owned and farmed alargepiece of land just south of Wesley. This farm has been owned bythatparticular Studer family well over 100 years. The current owner isMerlinStuder, August's great grandson. CENSUS: at the time of Iowa's1895census, August and family are listed as residing in Hardin county.

      DEATH: August (also known as Nathan) died either 25 Jun 1933, Jan 28,1940or Dec. 24, 1942 in Rolfe, Iowa, USA. Although Magnus P. Studersuspectsit was during WWII. Further, Magnus P. notes that August soldhis farmnear Wesley and bought 3-160 acre parcels in Palo Alto CountyIowa, whichhe and three sons farmed for long period of time.
