      DEATH: Nicholas died of a ruptured appendix at age thirty-eight. Hepassedaway October 29, 1894, leaving Sarah to raise five children on herown.Six years later Sara also died leaving young Amandus, Jacob, Peter,Maryand Veronica orphaned. It is said that the grandparents and UncleNatehelped raise these children. However, per his father's Abstract andWill,it is noted that J.V.
