      Other names/nicknames noted as: Greg, G.G. and Gregor. Greg was afarmerall of his life. The original farm owned by Greg's father was eastofdowntown St. Benedict. Greg's first farm was south and east oftheoriginal family farm. They (Greg and his wife) later built a housecloserto St. Benedict. The acreage abutted the south edge of the originalfarmsite owned by his parents. Greg purchased his parents farm aftertheirdeaths. He lived on this farm until his death in 1947. This farm isnowowned by his granddaughter?

      DEATH: Newspaper obituary: Gregory Studer, St. Benedict, Dies: Wesley-Funeral services for Gregory Studer, 87, were held Tuesday morning at10o'clock at the St. Benedict Catholic church. Mr. Studer died at hishomein St. Benedict Saturday morning. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.MaryStuder and six daughters: Mrs. Ben C. Dorr, Mrs. jack McKenna andMrs.Magdalene Marso, all of St. Benedict; Mrs. Charles Marso,Lakefield,Minn.; Mrs. Genevieve Wimmer, Adams, Minn. and Mrs. Dominic J.Benker,Elkhorn, Wis. Pallbearers were J.P.Studer, Alf Studer, Ben Studer.GeorgeLudwig, John Ludwig and Frank Grandgenette. The McMahon FuneralHome ofWesley was in charge of the services.
