! William Maddock, born 1/16/1817 died 6/14/1908, baptized W. Deeping,
Linclonshire, England.
He was a miller, one brother worked in wrought iron, another was a potter.
Some members of the family still in the pottery business. Immigrated to
Canada 1848 w/ wife Ann Calderwood & daughter Emily, born 12/15/1884 at
Stanford, Lincolnshire. Brother, Samuel, immigrated to Canada, settled
Brooke Twsp. Emily married J. Cook: two daughters: Milly married Ed. Reid,
they had two daughters: Lorene and Isla. Minnie was other daughter, no
further data on her. William and Ann settled at Katesville, near Strathroy,
Ontario. Son Edward born there, died 1850, Ann died 1851, both buried
Katesville. (Alvinston Cem.)

! William moved to Branan Mills (Alvinston), worked as a miller in 1852
Married Mary McLean born 3/17/1825 died 7/30/1906, oldest child of 18 of
Donold McLean & Margaret McQuicklen.

! On 8/16/1853. William bought the S. half of Lot 16, Concession 10, Brooke
Twsp. Robert Cecil Maddock live there today (1972). Raised 8 children on
the farm. William was assessor for Brooke Twsp. in 1864.

! The 3rd oldest son of William and Mary was John William Maddock, born
1/6/1857, died 12/24/1910, married Mary A. Weed, born 10/26/1858, died
9/10/1929.

! John and Mary's children were:
William George, Arthur Stanford, Mary Ann, John Ernest, Minnie Jane &
Winnifred (Twins), Charles Milton, Mary Belle & Russell Daniel.

and Lumber Co. Sedona, AZ. Owns his airplane. Member of the Air Force
Assoc. and the Civil Air Patrol. "Jack" is a qualified Search and
Rescue Pilot with the Sedona Civil Air Patrol Squadron #205 and goes
on patrol with his Cessna 182 Airplane. Past member of the Sedona
Kiwanis, and a retired volunteer member of the Sedona Ambulance and
Red Rock Fire Department as an Emergemcy Medical Technician and fire-
fighter. His hobby as a Ham Radio Operator (W7EOZ) has continued since
he was a child in Lake Andes.

Phoenix Mortor Co. until retiring in 1968. He, and his wife Edna are
charter members of the Los Olives Seniore Citizens Center and sang at many
of their functions. His hobby was charting Greyhound Dogs, to develop his
own system of predicting winning dogs. He had eight children, 20
grandchildren and 31 great grand children.
